31 Days / 31 Ways: “We Couldn’t Resist”
The wind has continued to howl, but the rain has stayed away for the past few days. With the wind in full force, we’ve only had a few options for not-so-out-of-control surfing, so we’ve basically been sticking with the same surf spot for the past few days.
We’re heading to Noosa tomorrow to cover the surfing festival and all the fun that comes with it, so stay tuned!

The waves have been good in all different kinds of ways, for all different kinds of boards and we’ve been enjoying quite a variety of waves. Rach and I had the longest day yet. We shot twice and surfed three times and are exhausted. More soon….
31 Days / 31 Ways: “Nourished”
The onshore winds continue here, so we’ve been exploring the markets and body surfing near the farm. We also headed up to the Transparentsea Voyage premier on the Gold Coast last night. It was a total contrast to the generally mellow and quiet life we’ve been enjoying, but so much fun. Photos will be up on the gallery page.
31 Days / 31 Ways Byron Bay: “Have Love, Will Travel”
Today we got a call from Will Conner, who let us know that he was back in the Byron area, so we went for a surf. Will spends his time traveling the world as an entrepreneur/ musician and calls both Byron and St. Augustine home. He’s a talented musician and lovely guy. It’s a pleasure to spend time with him in any hemisphere.
31 Days / 31 Ways Byron Bay: “Wategos Fast and Slow”
On day 5 we surfed Wategos and explored the spectrum of speeds within surfing. Whether experiencing the slow fluidity of a log or the explosive speed of something shorter, it’s all surfing and all waterborne experiences contribute to your volume of surfing knowledge. The more, the better.
31 days/ 31 ways Byron Bay: Be Love Bus
On day 4 we met up with Leah Dawson, Cindy Santini and Rochelle Ballard who were making their way up the Australian coast on the Be Love Bus tour, spreading love, yoga, surfing and breast cancer prevention awareness. We were so stoked to have had the privilege to spend some time with such incredible women.
